Children in emergencies- our psychosocial approach |
The thinking around how we approach work with children, adults and communities affected by war, conflict, and disaster supports a psychosocial approach. This set of FAQs attempts to outline the thinking and what action World Vision takes to support children in emergencies. They are aimed at colleagues based outside the field, as well as at short term secondees to emergency programmes. They may be particularly helpful for colleagues in communications and media.

'My Rights' |
'My Rights' is a booklet especially for children, based on the rights outlined in the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child.

Including All Children: Guidlines for Parents of Children with Disabilities |
Today we have the means and the duty to raise awareness about children with disabilities. It is often their parents and families who need support, and this book is dedicated to those who care and encourage all their children—regardless of their abilities--to participate in family and society. This is not easy. Many cultures have not questioned old traditions of stigma against people with disabilities. We hope today’s parents can begin to turn this around. The purpose of this book is to inform and encourage parents of children with disabilities so that all children’s rights are respected.
