Late march and snow still caps the mountains in the Siran valley in Pakistan’s North West Frontier Province. Closer inspection of the picturesque surroundings of this village near Jabouri, reveals the considerable damage inflicted by the 7.6 quake to traditional stone houses belonging to families like the Swatis.

Six months since the 7.6 quake in Pakistan, thousands of rural families like the Swatis face all the fears and uncertainties of rebuilding their lives after losing everything.
